Blog is me....

What is blogging? Where did it come from? How does "blog" even become a word? Does this mean that I can coin my own words too?

Snowboarding heaven!

What a day it has been! The weather was beautiful! Of course, you're probably thinking 75 degrees, clear blue skies, palm trees, and even a fu-fu drink! I, on the other hand, was thinking more along the lines of 32 degrees, winds blowing at whatever speed they tend to blow at, and snow....lots of snow! The perfect conditions for donning a snow chain for your tires!
Let me tell you that this is not an easy process, unless you're from the mountain towns and you do this on a daily basis. The lesson from today's trying exercise in strapping on snow chains is this: throw out the instructions! (Of course, I'm not a certified expert, except in my own mind, so please do not really heed my advice on any subject matter)
The conclusion that has been made is that you lay the chains flat on the ground and drive your vehicle over them so that your tires are placed directly in the middle of the chains. From there, you should be able to hook the inside and then, the outside thingies. Yes, thingies are the technical terms on this blog.
We tried to follow the instructions for over an hour before realizing that our logical minds could figure it out better than a small sheet of paper referring to "figure 1". Go figure....lol. Sorry, I just had to add that in, didn't I?
The snow was exceptional and the weather forecast for the next couple of weeks is looking solid in the snow department.
My recommendation to you? Dust off that snowboard, throw on a beanie and jacket, and head for higher elevation to feel like you're truly alive. If that doesn't do it for you, try jumping off a bridge with heavy rocks in your pockets. Oh, and don't forget to bind your own hands and feet.
